This course enables participants to become Certified ISO 31010 Risk Management Analyst under the label C31010. The training and exam are based on the IEC/ISO 31000:2019 Risk Management — Risk Assessment Techniques standard which can be used by organizations of any size, any industry, and any sector.
In this intensive two and half day course, participants develop competence on the selection and application of various techniques, presented in the IEC/ISO 31000:2019 Risk Management — Risk Assessment Techniques standard, which are used to assist in making decisions where there is uncertainty, to provide information about particular risks and as part of a process for managing risk.
Based on in-depth teaching, practical exercises and quiz questions that test their aptitude, participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to pass the stringent exam.
They do so by becoming familiar with the core concepts of risk management presented in the ISO 31000:2018 standard and acquire a competence on the selection, the implementation and the use of risk assessment techniques. During the course, we will present the IEC/ISO 31000:2019 Risk Management — Risk Assessment Techniques standard with reference to its two companions ISO 31000 :2018 Risk Management Guidelines and the ISO Guide 73:2009 Risk Management Vocabulary.

To understand how to select and apply various techniques which can be used to help improve the way uncertainty is considered and to help understand risk, in accordance with the new version IEC/ISO 31010 published in June 2019.
To apply the techniques which are used within the risk assessment steps of identifying, analysing and evaluating risk as described in ISO 31000 risk management guideline, and more generally whenever there is a need to understand uncertainty and its effects.
To acquire the competence to communicate effectively about the selection, the implementation and the use of risk assessment techniques, comparing their possible applications, benefits and limitations. It also provides references to sources of more detailed information.
Attendees should be familiar with the content of the ISO 31000:2018 risk management standard before the course, especially with the risk assessment process of identification, analysis and evaluation of risk.
